Casa Juana is named in honor of its former owner, Juana, who was born in Cehegín shortly after the Spanish Civil War. She was born right next door, in the house to the right of the property where you are now staying.
We chose to name the house after her as a tribute. Juana lived a challenging life, but it was filled with deeply cherished and joyful moments. She eventually emigrated to Catalonia, where she started her family, but every summer, she would return to her beloved hometown for long stays. Now that she is no longer with us, we honor her memory by naming this house after her.
You will find her essence throughout the home, a reflection of her spirit and her art. Every painting on the walls was created by Juana, and her passion for painting is something we hope to keep alive in our daily lives.
